FM106.1 gets set for 2019!

It’s only January 3rd, and we are full steam ahead when planning for all of the country festivals and shows heading to Milwaukee this summer!

Before we get to that though, there’s a ton of awesome shows heading to one of our favorite show spots, The Rave. Morgan Wallen kicks off the new year this weekend, January 5th, and he’s followed by LANCO and Chris Janson this month. Devin Dawson, Chase Rice, and Randy Houser will also be there before things really heat up this summer.

Also going on in January is our Class Of 2019 show at the Northern Lights Theater with five awesome up and coming male artists, and our first FM106.1 Coors Light Country Music Night of the year with the Milwaukee Admirals is on the 25th with Brett Young who we last saw at Summerfest. Our second Coors Light Country Music Night will be in April with another Summerfest 2018 artist, Billy Currington.

GETTING BACK TO SUMMER THOUGH …. the brand new American Family Insurance Amphitheater at Summerfest is going to be a stunner for sure. I went to the virtual unveiling, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. Jason Aldean was the first announced act of the year, and he’ll be bringing along Kane Brown as his opener (who had an absolutely jam packed crowd at our U.S. Cellular Connection Stage in 2018 at Summerfest). I can’t wait to hear who else is coming, and hopefully we get that announcement real soon.

We’re so excited to have recently partnered up with the gorgeous Riverside Theater for their country shows. The first one we were a part of was in November with Kip Moore, and in March we welcome country music’s favorite brothers, Brothers Osborne, to the venue!

The Fiserv Forum had their first country concert in October with Chris Young, and they have more A-list country singers coming this spring and summer. Eric Church will play 2 nights in March, and Carrie Underwood brings her all-girl tour with Maddie & Tae and Runaway June in … you guessed it, June.

Other country festivals to take note of are Country USA (HELLOOOOO DIERKS BENTLEY!), Gathering on the Green with Lee Brice (who was spectacular last month at The Rave), the first ever Country in the Burg starring the super popular Kip Moore, and of course Country Thunder with Chris Stapleton and Tim McGraw as just 2 of the acts included in this star-studded line up.
